Dao Jensen

Dao has been in the tech industry for over 20 years. She founded Oak Rocket, INC (OR) in 2013 as the first west coast, female minority-owned company born in the Cloud. OR is now based in SF, CA and Austin TX, helping companies optimize cloud platforms and solutions. Some of Oak Rocket’s current and past marquee clients: Jackson Hewitt, Gainsight, Solar City, Gymboree and Nasdaq.

In Oak Rocket’s ten years of operation, the organization has earned many awards from the technology community – including Ingram Micro Cloud Most Valuable Player Award for 2021 and 2022. Ms. Jensen has grown the company at an amazing pace since its inception. Oak Rocket is on a mission to be the United States leading minority-owned cloud enablement company by 2030. Dao is on the advisory board of Loyola University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s OPM Executive program.

Brought up in Minnesota by entrepreneurial parents who owned and managed three restaurants, she always aspired to achieve great things. Previous to launching Oak Rocket, Dao ran sales internationally at large corporations such as Symantec and Oracle. Today, Dao is a mother of four and a community activist. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, cooking food, and sharing a good meal with friends and family.

Dao is on the advisory board of Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago, a founding member of First Board.io, a member of C200 and a board member of IEEW (Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women). She is a YPO PacWest Integrated chapter Board member. In 2022 she graduated as scholarship winner in the Harvard Business School’s OPM Executive program.
