Abhishek Poddar, a business leader and philanthropist, embarked on his art collection journey as a teenager in school. After several decades, fueled by his frustration with the absence of quality museums in India and the resulting disinterest in art among the general populace, he established the Museum of Art and Photography in Bengaluru. Remarkably, this endeavor was launched just as the COVID-19 pandemic struck, turning the museum’s inauguration into an exemplar of innovation.
