Bose has been shaping and influencing education policies at the State and National levels. She was a member of the Karnataka Knowledge Commission (KKC) – headed by Dr K Kasturirangan. She is an academy Member at HundrED, Finland and is currently (2022) one of the Advisors in the National Focus Group, working on a chartered school governance and leadership plan.
Bose works with the Karnataka State Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and IQ Education Excellence Task Force to check on the quality of education. A national CII Education Committee member, Shukla, helps draft the national policy for schools. She is on the board of a few private and public sector organisations for the prevention of sexual harassment of women in the workplace. She continues to publish peer-reviewed papers in conferences and international journals.
